Azure Cloud Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)

This position is available in Bratislava. 

We are looking for a motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. 

This role is a great fit for someone with a solid foundation in Azure and Microsoft infrastructure who wants to keep growing in a modern cloud environment. Your main focus will be on the Azure side, while also supporting and gradually learning the Microsoft 365 ecosystem alongside experienced colleagues. 

We are looking for someone with the right mindset, strong technical fundamentals, and a genuine willingness to learn and take ownership over time. 

What will you work on?

  • Manage and maintain Azure services including Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Backups, Update Management, Azure Policies, Conditional Access, Application Gateways, and governance-related configurations
  • Work with Entra ID (Azure AD), user and group provisioning, app registrations, and authentication configurations
  • Help maintain Group Policy and on-premises Active Directory
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Contribute to automation and operational improvements using PowerShell and other scripting tools
  • Support endpoint and device management in collaboration with Intune and Microsoft security solutions
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and cloud-related issues together with internal teams
  • Support integrations with third-party tools and platforms
  • Participate in security initiatives, including Microsoft Defender configuration and monitoring
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support the team
  • Work closely with colleagues across infrastructure, networking, security, and other IT teams

Here is our wish list for what you can do already 

  • Relevant IT education, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on practical experience
  • First hands-on experience in a systems, cloud, or infrastructure engineering role
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure services and Entra ID concepts
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, or both
  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft 365 administration
  • General Windows infrastructure
  • A structured, solution-oriented approach to problems
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a broader Azure and Microsoft 365 role over time
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
  • Fluent English, written and spoken; German is a plus

Nice to have

  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Exposure to Intune MDM and/or Microsoft Defender
  • PowerShell scripting or task automation experience 
  • Windows Server administration
  • Experience with Exchange Online, hybrid mail environments, or mail security 
  • Exposure to SQL Server or Azure SQL
  • Experience with PKI or Certificate Services
