Product Owner Staking
About the role
Bitcoin Suisse is one of the leading staking providers worldwide and our staking team manages currently more than CHF 2 billion worth of cryptocurrencies across 10 different staking currencies.
As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial part in further building our staking product. Together with a dedicated and skilled team of other product owners, blockchain engineers, solution architects, and developers, you will be given the responsibility to conceptualize the improvement and further development of the staking product. It is a broad role taking care of many aspects in staking, including liaising with the teams optimizing and running blockchain infrastructure.

You will have the following responsibilities
- Define, manage, and drive the Staking product development roadmap together with other product owners and internal stakeholders
- Track blockchain updates and evaluate how they influence our staking product, and integrate changes across all our systems
- Help internal and external infrastructure teams in all matters related to staking validators
- Liaise with various staking related foundations and crypto projects such as the Ethereum Foundation, Near Foundation, Cardano Foundation, Lido, etc.
- Specify requirements and maintain a prioritized backlog of tasks related to building, optimizing and operating blockchain infrastructure
- Validate plans and concepts with various stakeholders within the company
- Design staking related processes and workflows for the various departments at Bitcoin Suisse
- Lead quality assurance processes such as regression testing during the roll-out phase
- Manage our internal user groups in cases of application related questions, troubleshooting or bug management, as well as internal education on new features
- Ensure completeness of business documentation
- In case of incidents, troubleshoot and resolve issues together with our infrastructure and software development teams
What you bring along?
- University Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, information systems or other related education
- Technical background, e.g. in software development, providing following skills:
- read and understand code (such as specification of Ethereum)
- read and interact with REST APIs and RPC
- understand Linux, including monitoring and alerting tools
- read and understand documentation of how to run Validators in order to identify requirements
- write Python scripts
- In depth-knowledge and conceptual understanding of blockchain specific data structures and network layer principles such as nodes, blocks, indexing, peers, block height. Either professional experience in crypto or as a hobby and thus willing to go further down the rabbit hole
- Experience as a product manager or product owner in the area of banking or fintech, or ambition to step into such a role
- You are a caring, motivated, open-minded personality with strong analytical skills to recognize and solve problems efficiently
- Independent organizer, you can manage your own priorities and keep the overview of responsibilities of others in a project that you are leading
- You are able to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Experience with software development and project management methodologies such as scrum is a plus
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps is a plus
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory. German is a plus
