Senior Internal Auditor

As part of our ambitious plans to expand internationally to Europe, the Middle East and beyond, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Internal Auditor to establish and support the Bitcoin Suisse Group's internal audit function. In this role, you will be responsible for independently assessing the effectiveness of our internal controls, governance processes, and risk control systems across the Group. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will act as a trusted source of independent assurance and play a key role in oversight and accountability. You will provide objective evaluations, conduct audits across key functions—including risk control, finance, operations, compliance, and IT—and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to Group Management.

This role offers you the opportunity to work in a cross-border environment in a market with massive future potential, where you’ll help strengthen governance and work alongside our senior leadership.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and report on internal audits across legal entities, business units, support functions, and key processes (e.g. finance, compliance, operations, technology) in the UAE, Switzerland, Europe, and Bermuda
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, including financial reporting, operational procedures, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Monitor the implementation of audit points and perform follow-up reviews to ensure timely remediation
  • Support the development of a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives
  • Identify control gaps, emerging risks, or process inefficiencies and provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across jurisdictions and business lines while maintaining objectivity and independence
  • Assist in the preparation of external audits, licensing projects, and the interpretation of laws and regulations
  • Stay on top of developments in auditing standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices

What you bring along:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant audit experience—ideally in internal auditing, Big-4, or risk-advisory roles
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • Experience in regulated financial services, fintech, or the crypto industry is an advantage
  • Prior experience working with regulatory authorities in the Middle East (e.g. ADGM/FSRA) or the European Union (e.g. BaFIN, Liechtenstein FMA) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and risk-management principles
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g. Arabic or German) are a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the UAE, Bermuda, etc.
